Starring Kerrykate Abel and Chuck Basil with special guest stars

After six years of hiatus, the incomparable duo of Abel and Basil returns to BUA for one weekend only! Spend Curtain Up with us as we hash out the past several years through song and story, with special guests each evening. Selections will include Stephen Schwartz, Adler and Ross, David Yazbek, Ahrens and Flaherty and more. Come to where the cabaret resurgence in Buffalo began, with the people who began it!

Kerrykate Abel has been performing cabaret in the US for the last 20 years. She is also an accomplished actress and educator, having taught and performed at several theatres and schools in the WNY area, as well as a private tutor and instructor at Villa Maria College. Recently, Kerrykate has been finalizing her thesis and portfolio for her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a performance creation concentration at Goddard College. Look for the premiere of her play HOARDING HOPE in 2019!

Chuck Basil has worked for the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo for over 35 years and is well known and loved throughout WNY. An accomplished vocalist, musical director and accompanist, Chuck worked with Marvin Hamlisch at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in 2004. Recently, he was the music director for the wildly successful SILENCE! here at BUA this past summer. Chuck continues to inspire and lead the children’s choirs (as well as the Sunday masses) at St. John Vianney in Orchard Park.
