O’Connell & Company Productions

O’Connell & Company Productions is a non-profit professional theatre organization dedicated to entertaining through educating, inspiring, and creating community within the performing arts. We celebrate the essential part of the theatre to illuminate our common humanity by presenting regional premieres, popular classics, musicals and plays with strong female characters and/or female playwrights, directors and works that center on the empowermment of women and disenfranchised by providing represenation on stage.

Founded in 1995 by award-winning actress Mary Kate O’Connell, past performances have included: an all-female production of 1776 The Musical, the regional premiere of The New Mel Brook’s Musical Young Frankenstein, Betsy Carmichael’s BINGO Palace, Puffs, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, Baby, Nunsense, The Addams Family, I Do! I Do!, Six Dance Lessons in Six weeks, Sunset Boulevard, Musical of Musicals: The Musical, Buffalo ZINGS, Hot, Tedium & Wild!, and O’Connell & Company’s original, DIVA by DIVA: A Celebration of Women! Western New York’s longest running production currently in it’s 25th Season.
